Policy & Advocacy for School Curriculums
|
AFPN works diligently towards updating current national curriculums to provide Nepali youth with accurate, pertinent, and up to date information on World War II and the Holocaust.
AFPN has developed amendments to the Grade 10 Social Studies curriculum to incorporate a more comprehensive overview of World War II and the Holocaust as a means to teach students about human rights and peace. Such amendments would also provide Nepali youth a better understanding of the consequences of genocide and ethnic cleansing. As part of our school presentations we ask for the support of these changes through a pledge and petition to show evidence that these amendments are supported by the various stakeholders. Our amendments have been presented to the Director of the Curriculum Development Center in Nepal, and we are waiting for his feedback on the matter. |
